MTB cycling 1:30:00 [1]

MTB on the river trails after work. Super fun and a really nice evening to be out.

The log that I crossed so smoothly yesterday didn't go quite as well, but it was still probably the 2nd or 3rd best I've cleared it. Maybe I'm figuring it out.

Here's a taste of some of the smoothest, fastest section of trail:

running 1:30:00 intensity: (1:10:00 @2) + (20:00 @4)

I ran on the trails at Clinton S.P. I included 2 x 4 minutes at an honest effort with 1 minute walking and then 3 x the same thing. It felt ok. I wasn't moving fast, but it is a start.

Part of today's run was on the last few miles of the Hawk 100 miler. I met a few of the runners. I guess they were going to finish around 29-30 hours for the 100. All of them looked tired. About half looked tired but ok. A few looked terrible and tired.

MTB cycling 50:00 [1]

A short ride on the river trail (basically one loop plus a little bit extra). I felt ok but my legs were definitely a little tired from the run.

I biked over a log at one point. I don't usually have trouble riding this particular obstacle, but today it felt so much smoother and easier. I think I managed the combination of balance and speed just right. It'd be nice to be able to do that on purpose. I'm not there yet.

PTOC sprint at Antioch Park. Wonderful weather with temps in the upper 60s. Felt slow but ok. A couple of less than optimal routes on 3 and 5. On 3 I just hesitated and then took the wrong route. On 5 I saw the straighter route but the rough yellow with scattered trees looked a little rough, so I decided to go around it, then thought the fence was forbidden to cross and went to the gap in the fence.

Route + GPS + Go Pro video will come soon....and done...click on the little video camera next to the little globe for the route + GPS track + video.

Hmmm..the O map doesn't seem to be loading on the video page...or maybe I just need to make sure I've installed the Google Earth browser plug in.
