6 AM

Terrain (Grass) 34:00 [1] **
shoes: Rocklite 315

New School Loop. First ten minutes were something of a drunken stagger. Found a little form (but no speed) after that.
1 PM

Orienteering (Woods) 1:08:00 [2] *** 6.9 km (9:51 / km)
10c shoes: Oroc 280

SLOC Green at Babler (1:10). Obviously, I was in no shape to attack the hills of Babler, so I just treated it as a training run. Nice courses by Yvonne. Woods were pretty trashy in spots, but there were generally good around options.

6 PM

Running (Road) 25:00 [2]
(rest day) shoes: Speedstar 6

Easy jog round the hood.

Terrain (Trail) 38:00 [2] ***
weight:169lbs (rest day) shoes: MT110

Powerline out & back. While I normally list this as a grass route with of no technical merit, a week of freeze thaw cycles has generated about a quarter inch of snot on top of a frozen base. Combined with the fact what little tread these shoes ever had wore off long ago made this a pretty technical run.

5 AM

Running (Road) 55:00 [3]
shoes: Sayonara 2

Easy jog round the hood, then M3 on the treadmill.
4 PM

Running (Track) 50:00 [3]
shoes: Lyte33 3

5x800@3:12 200R.

On a rather spur of the moment decision (3PM), I decided that having a decent read on fitness was more important than having another 100+mille week. So, I switched the interval workout for a dial-in and will take Saturday seriously.

5 AM

Running (Road) 36:00 [2]
(rest day) shoes: Speedstar 6

Easy jog round the hood...

Gym (Weights) 15:00 [5]

... with a stop at the gym for the usual two heavy sets, upper only.

7 AM

Terrain (Grass) 32:00 [2] *
shoes: Speedcross 3

Everything refroze overnight, so back off roads (yay). Legs are dead, so just an easy jog through a variant of the New School Loop.
4 PM

Terrain (Grass) 1:16:00 [2] *
shoes: MT110

Electric Duck. Everything unfroze during the day. The powerline wasn't too goopy, but it didn't take much imagination to know that the flood plain woods would be a complete mess, so I stayed on the path around the lake.
