Orienteering race 1:25:00 [3]

West Point long distance. I can't say I was bouncing before the start but my stomach had been much more cooperative so I did look forward to the race, but I knew I wasn't 100% prepared for the race although I did manage to dig in to the endless fries pretty good yesterday. Technically, it was very good race. Less than a minute mistake and that includes a reading error (uncrossable fence). Physcailly, a lot of walking but it felt better gradually and although the weekend as a whole, race wise, didn't meet my expectations, I am happy with my Sunday race.

Orienteering race 15:00 [3]

Running race 40:00 [1]

AM: first race of the year - middle distance at West Point (same map as last year's long distance from which I have some good memories) and I really looked forward to this race. But the race was pretty much over even before I started; my stomach was quite upset and had been so for the past 8-10h. I did start but I felt very weak and didn't feel well at all. The race became a map walk instead. Really sucked actually.

PM: I felt a bit better and had managed to get some food in and lots of fluids (30-32C didn't help the situation). I had, pretty much, a clean race but not much energy so I was a bit behind. Again very disappointing, but on the other hand it felt better than this morning.
