Running 38:34 [2] 4.5 mi (8:34 / mi)

Even colder, so treadmill run today. Ran some faster paced bits, down to 7:35/mi at the fastest (for a two quarter-miles). Felt ok, nice to get legs moving a bit more. Had SI belt on.

Strength 6:00 [1]

Core.

XC skiing 1:03:58 [2] 8.07 mi (7:56 / mi) +199m 7:22 / mi

The warmest day at 7 degrees, so we went out skiing. Wore a down vest and double-hatted it and stayed happy and warm! Skated a bit faster than the day after Christmas! Really does feel fine to skate, which I am so thrilled by!

Tom skied pi miles, but unfortunately broke a pole. =(

Running 42:52 [2] 4.04 mi (10:37 / mi) +218m 9:05 / mi

More chilly times, bundled up and ran around the neighborhood. A double had seems to help a lot. Started to think about trying to run a bit faster.

Hiking 1:04:05 [1] 2.23 mi (28:44 / mi) +80m 25:51 / mi

Snowy family hike to Butternut Pond. Dad, me, Tom, Steph, Eric and Mark. We were planning on taking Sylvia, but we bundled her all up and then she fell asleep, so we left her home with my mom. I had big clunky boots, Tom had YakTraks on his Sambas, which turned out to not be super-warm.

Running 32:04 [2] 3.16 mi (10:09 / mi) +79m 9:25 / mi

Ran home from the trailhead.

Wahoo!! Codymonster recommended trying skate skiing and it was totally better than classic on the pelvis, didn't expect that! Also wore an SI belt to keep pelvis pulled together, so maybe that helped too. Great to get out and ski, kept going back and forth to ski together with Tom who was rocking my Grandma's fishscales.

Running 36:05 [1] 2.82 mi (12:48 / mi) +69m 11:54 / mi

We made the 6h20 drive from Rochester to Grantham, NH!! Sylvia was fine with the drive except for about 2 hours in when she got hungry and started crying like she *really* meant it - was hard because we were on the thruway couldn't pull off for awhile.

Anyways, woke up Christmas morning to a blizzard, so layered up (including YakTraks) and went out in it. Super slow because of traction/kicking slow, but nice to get the run in!
