Longer set of vetting 10 controls. More to potentially move to other sites, so that took longer too... still such a blast to be out there, although should have put on sunscreen. (Didn't get burned, but still, UV at altitude.)

And.... who can resist a final ski of the season? Def spring conditions which caused my first fall of the season.
First day of skiing was two weeks before Thanksgiving in Nov. Today will be the last in April. That's nearly 6 months! (Although, did have a good 2 month break in the middle b/c of illness/giving birth.)

Woo! Orienteering!!!!!!
So psyched to get out there, even if at walking pace! Scouting control sites for my day of Deschutes Daze (Sun, Aug 1, at Arnold Ice Caves). Open sagebrush on flatish volcanic lands. Will be fast and potentially very hot.
Dropped off milk at the milk bank and then stopped at a nearby park for a stroller walk with M. Trail went around some wetlands which were filled with birds. I have no ear for bird calls, but it was clear that there were many, many different types!
Feel able to walk around the house without pain, so this was just a super-short walk to test it out. Headed to the blue mail box to mail in M's birth certificate request.
