Orienteering race 35:59 [4] 3.1 km (11:36 / km)
shoes: VJ Bold

Womens Short Relay - 3rd leg after Gem & Hol H.
A bit like the Lickey Hills terrain wise, especially when wet!
One or two small misses I probably wouldn't have made if I'd been in the mass start with others around. Can't decide if I should have stayed low & gone clockwise to no 2...
Top 10 result, awesome :)
My dinkies are growing up...

Orienteering race 54:48 [4] 5.8 km (9:27 / km) +200m 8:04 / km
shoes: VJ Bold

JK Kilnsey W40S
After yesterdays Splitsbrowser I knew I would have to be accurate and give it everything I had physically. Very lucky to avoid the heavy rain/hail storm/snow.
Physically pleased, but more work to do, there was still some walking going on, and minimal time loss navigationally. Pleased and surprised to have won by a bigger margin than I managed yesterday!!
Still not tempted to run long :)

Orienteering race 54:30 [4] 3.9 km (13:58 / km) +210m 11:01 / km
shoes: VJ Bold

Much better than memories of Wass, & happy with the run. Recovering after the climbs quicker than previously, and running more of the ups, too.
Mistake on no. 6, misinterpreted the contours around there, knew I was being pulled off the bearing but generally my contour interpretation is more reliable than my following a bearing!

Event: JK 2016

Orienteering race 17:48 [5] 2.0 km (8:54 / km) +30m 8:17 / km
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

JK sprint at Leeds Uni
Fun :)
Well planned, lots of tricky bits, twists and turns, levels, loved it!
Stomach suffering from a cream sauce on my monkfish last night :(
2 time losses - one overshoot, one poor route choice, plus one stop for a tearful girl who asked for help.
Took a while to locate satellites - no 1 was straightforward - south then NW, no 2 was SE to 2nd right, all the way to the crossroads, turn left and follow the buildings around to the "piazza!". Under the w-most canopy, down the steps, through the greenery, down under to the lower ground floor and east into the control. Fiddly, but straightish.
