Orienteering 1:50:00 [3]
Ontario Champs Long Men’s elite. Man did i ever enjoy this course and terrain. Even though the knee was sore from CP13 to 29 I had a smile on my face because the orienteering was that good! longest run since July but i’ll be sore tmrw.
*oh and I wore a SI-stick safety strap and the strap got caught on a sampling and broke and my SI flung off my hand again. only happened 4 times ever for me and twice in two days. Yikes.
Thanks Mark for an awesome weekend. The retro 80’s map layout was a nice way to honour the history of this area. Can’t wait to race here again soon.
**Looking at the split times it is very clear where I started to slow down (CP15, knee started hurting at CP13). On the first half of today’s course I was 5 minutes behind Erik Kemp (43' vs 48'). On the second half I was 17.5 minutes behind (43.5' vs. 61'). Those splits times match the pain and fatigue I was feeling pretty well. ;-)
