Kirkcaldy East League Round 2
8800m
started steadily and gradually picked up the pace, got passed on the final flat by two boys who were obviously not hardcore and had started like pussies.
Murray 31.47 (4th)
Me 33.00 (19th)
very good conditions and similar to last year, some geeking told me i would have got bawbag haskett by 4secs last year, that alone made my day
ran 34.17 in 2006 however
shin was good and felt frly swift for the first time in ages
still not hitting the times i ran a while ago but this was on the road and not grass so these ints were slightly longer
Errochty Nat Event 12.7km
Cruised round, had nothing on the hills so just took it right steady. Almost totally clean although too many hesitations on simple controls.
Doug Tullie 1.40.39
James Tullie 1.40.42
4*1km path 60s rec
bleugh slow so bailed on the last one

newington, innocent railway, portobello, meadowbank, seat, newington
uncomfortable pace 4min/k
shins a bit sore ... got a terrain wknd though so it should sort them out
Felt really good on the first long hill and was first 8 at the top. Then the boys around me turned the screw and I began to suffer proper along the flat. Realised I was in trouble at the beginning of the second long hill when Ewan and Murray just cruised away. Went backwards from then on in.
Started just behind Strathclyde and lost a minute to Ross Toole. Felt I was running quite well but my time ended up very average. Really frustrated as sessions with the haries had been going swiftly.
