Jukola Leg 1
Drafted in to run first leg the week before.
Got some TV time on the start line and on the run out.
Shape was pretty poor and a track leg run out wasn't what I wanted. Didn't miss but my inexperience on first leg showed and I stayed with the biggest train all the time and four times went to the wrong gaffle as didn't back myself. Shape wasn't good enough to run up the train after having the long first gaffle.
Not too dissatisfied but I needed to go clean to come back within 3 to set the boys up.
Good runs from Doug, Mark and Ala in particular, pulled us through to 51st. Slightly disappointed but we'll be back stronger next year
