Shopping trip to York followed by ride home. Had intended to do a bit more off-road on the return after leaving York, but didn't have enough time to fit that in. Session was 5x 30sec on/30sec off straight into 10mins Z3, then repeated after a rest. Going well and legs feeling OK.

Headed down to Ringwood Forest for some MTBO practice, went round the British Champs course from 2016, plus the MapRun course for Moors Valley. Really good session with a few bits to work on the next few weeks, specifically on planning ahead to reduce slowing down when having no plan for following leg. Went over the handlebars on a technical downhill where an erosion gully was wider than I thought, no damage to bike, a few abrasions to shoulder but fine to carry on. Surprised by how quiet Ringwood North was, but glad to have the area mainly to myself. Map was still pretty accurate, though there were a few tracks which had disappeared/overgrown in the past few years. Completed the course 2mins quicker than 5 years ago, considering I was on my old MTB I'm pretty chuffed with that. Should be getting new race bike next week too :)

After a long drive south to Romsey had some family time at golf and pottery before heading out for a ride which meant it was a bit cooler. Headed down into the New Forest on cyclocross bike for a 1hr tempo session. Love riding down here, will try and make more use of the gravel tracks on next visit as they were super fast and good fun.
