o training in finland on the map that surrounds the house we are staying at.
we put out some tapes and ran around, it was awesome!!! really really cool map. had abit of trouble with afew controls but had soooo much fun.
too bad it was so hot! nice swim in the lake after :)
relay. no idea how long i took. had a terrible run. was a little hard to get focused when i was tagged after the winning teams had finished...plus its the end of a hard week.
but enough excuses, i did a terrible job and should have run better.
Had an ok run, lost perhaps two mins total from hesitations and small mistakes. Or maybe less than that. Anyway, point is I didn't make huge screw ups like the last few days - which I suspect is from putting pressure on myself to do well (felt no pressure today and was really excited to get out, instead of nervous).
Was really fun :)
I donnnnnnnt understandddddd why I always run badly at jwoc. Something is wrong and I don't know what. :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
On the positive side there are still two races left. And jwoc is not the be all and end all. I still know I'm better than this - I was with tove alexanderson for the last third of my course and she was really not going much faster than me.
Think my time was something like that....
Not very happy :( was very very nervous all morning, no food would sit in my stomach and consequently my legs felt empty the whole way round.
Also lost about 20secs or more on two different legs :(
But I didn't explode after being so nervous so I guess that's a plus. And it was fun as :) weather turned out to be sweet too!
Warm up, down hill course on one of the training maps from earlier this week.
Felt pr good and navigated well so all is g :)
Calves were a little bit sore from a massage last night, whoops
Sprint training. Warm up then sprint course then warm down. Felt quite good and ran alright. New sprint tights kept riding up which will get annoying in the actual thing.
