Park run - AC
Thought I should go check out what all this park run shamzolle is about.
Mainly treating it as a reccee for the upcoming BOK vs SLOW mob match where we will destory them, hehehe.

Went out steady, and people passed me, then on the return some people were going quite hard. I wasn't go too hard, as 1, I can't at the mo with no recent speed training, and 2, I want to race well tonight in the night event. Then right at the end the first chick was going to catch me, so a sped up a wee bit.

Thoughts on AC park race:
The start time is ridicoulouslly early, and once again england is discrimnated against in the union, with the scots getting another half hour lie in :-)
It would be difficult (though not impossible) to come up with a more boring course in Ashton court.
On the plus side, it's a cool concept

WNL - High Meadow - FoD

started off on the 7-11 route, had some early small misses with 11 & 6, then got into it, though missed 12 slightly too. Too clear them all the route did not seem obvious, Orignally I was going to do a single loop, but the more I looked at it the more I cam convinced an "n" shape was the best. So spent a fare bit of time up until 19 planning route. Quite a few small misses, 22, 26,13 (which I missed the track too also), 23 was hidden. Oscillated between thinking i'd clear them and thinking i wouldn't. Going quite slow as legs were tired. Got 10,16,24 cleanly, 21 was early which was nice, then had some small issues at 18, as was searching round the permanent post, which i thought must be on the feature as what else was it on. Punched 18 with 4.20min to go, and all I had to do was get 8. Instead I proceeded to catch my SI on a stick and fling it off upon leaving the control. a frantic search insued which took a minute maybe. Then i got flustered and was off to the south of 8, and didn't have a clue where i was. Mark2 was around but not overly helpful :-) so i sacked it off and ran back being 1.04 late.

Not entirely sure of everyones results. I think I got 574, There were a few people round that area. It seemed to be a night of who can run the least badly! Maybe a sneaked a win.

Good training, FoD in night is always good, and the time pressure makes it you push a little harder to get the oxygen debt training.

Technically - alrightish, bar the end, no major issues like another BOK M21, physcially quite slow. Will buy an elastic wrist loop for SI card.

Mountain Bike 1:03:00 [3]

Ride with Timmy!
Checked out the new bit in Leigh woods, nearly all is open apart from a little slope by north road. I'd say the number of human/tree incidents at the BRI is going to increase. It was pretty nice, not as free flowing as AC, but in a good way. Some little technical side bits in terrain features that i bypassed, but want to go back too. Maybe there's more than what we rode too.
Then over to AC to show tim a lap.

Run 1:20:00 [3]
shoes: Roclite 315 Old

Monday afternoon run with Matt, hasitly organised.
through AC and 50 acre to gracie's wood (alder bed wood offically). Weather was changable, very british, went from nice to yuk to nice to yuk to nice. Good run, felt fresh, which is probably a given due to 10 days with limited aerobic exercise. Avoided the two day hangover which i was worried about. Good catchup.
