Orienteering 2:40:35 [3]

Glen affric Long. Had a shocker to #1 as I naved form 1 -> 2 then stopped too soon, before checking scale, which explained that issue then cocked it up. Followed a guy to four, which was a mistake, as I thought the route would be crap and it was. Then took a special route to #6 where Tom and some others caught me. Clung on, but could only keep with Tom, and he missed #9 then got caught be a bigger pack at #12 they did 13 alright, but were massivly off on #14, so I eventually did my own thing and smuggly got it first. Then got dropped by most people, just managed to stay with Tom to 19 and were together to the end. He was running a bit stronger than me, particuarly in the fell uphill. Fun race. Even felt I could've kept on going longer, desipte it being one of my longest races ever!

Can see why they used this for WOC, nice area.

Affric South. Very wild forest. Glad I was out late. Bit of a shit area. Couldn't spot the control at 7 and got a bit pissed off with the whole thing after that.

Coul Beag BBQ race, map by Laura Daniel.
Went head to head with rcro, managed to sneak ahead, think my local knowledge help. footware was the wrong choice round the back by the cars.
