Helping at the Rootstock Two Rivers Race. Despite the horrible weather (45 and raining) it was a lot of fun. Adventure racers are just so inspiring to be around and the volunteers at this event were phenomenal. I bailed early on Sunday since they didn't really need me any more they had so much help.

Pretty much a full Kelly workout from last September although I only did 3 sets instead of 4 of some of the core work at the end. I was surprised that my core/abs seem so weak; that is usually not an issue for me.

Designed a UsynligO course on Gould Run to go do today. So very cool that I can just do that!
Was fine for the first few controls and then messed up 5 and had to relocate. I had drifted left and mistook one patch of rocky ground for another and then nothing made sense until I hit the trail and followed it to a good attackpoint. Thought I was being careful to 6 but just missed and then wandered for a while until I just gave up and asked for a hint. That's a dangerous feature that I need to not use! This time I was too far right. Took a very round about route to 7 to avoid some climb and some rocks - but I don't think it was worth it. I'm sure I would have been faster if I had just made myself go straight. After what felt like a total disaster of a few controls I then wasn't careful out of 7 and got into some thick vegetation until finally forcing my way to a trail. 8-9-10-11-12-Finish wasn't too bad but I definitely benefitted from having set courses here before.
So not a great outing navigationally, but it was just wonderful to drive 20 minutes, get a couple of hours of good exercise, and then drive 20 minutes home.
