Bit late back from work...and in a bit of a boo. Nice steady run to lift the spirits. Ran out through Polmaise and up the path above the first set of crags in Sauchie (nice wee path), then back along the path that runs beneath them then back along the road to home. Legs a wee bit tired, but not too sore which is nice. Got chased by an angry dog, but turned around and gave it a bollocking and it ran away. grrr

BOC relays in cannock. First leg for FVO flyers. First run on first leg for a while. Looking forward to this. Turned out to be a really fun race. Good course with good gaffling. In a decent position leading beating a path up the hill to number 2 with Camel and Nixon fanned out to either side. 10s hesitation on no.5 then common back together behind Ian and John to no.6. Hesitation on 7 misreading the code then small overshoot on 9 loosing any advantage of the shorter gaffle there. Long leg up the hill punched together with little Rob and camel and we were together through the spectator, but a couple of folks on front. Dropped too low towards the control on the spur after the spectator so lost a wee bit time there. Legs really dying on the way to no.16, then finish, tag Roger. and breath...
5th back, 26s down. Not a bad first leg run. Would have been nice to iron out the small misses, but another decent run. Solid from Roger to pull us up to third and Jon digging in to bring us home in 10th. Main regret was gettng beaten by OUOC...didn't even know they had an o club....
Shame we didn't have young Rosco or the like running...could have been in the hunt for a medal.
and it pains me to say this....but well done shuoc.

BOC individual on Cannock. New it was going to be fast, and it was. Silly miss at no.5 then a bit scrappy round a couple in the quarries. Felt I was slowing a wee bit through the drinks control but picked it up again and finished quite strongly. Enjoyable run. Quite happy with the result. Feels like shape is improving a bit which hopefully bodes well for the tougher Scottish forests to come:)

Wee jog around Kings Park then three sets of strides before breakfast. Feeling quite tired but better for the jog. Feel fine this afterrnoon:)

Day off so did an o session in Touch. Drove up to the water filter station and ran from there. Did a few legs int he open then into the forest. Dound some nice windblow then got into the nice stuff. Was a bit tired and lost some focus there. Took it steady uphill back out of the forest then pushed it a bit more back out on the open. Made a stupid paralell error on the first one back out on the ope which was a bit pissed off about. jogged back down the track.

Long run in the South Pentlands with Doug and Toni. Started at Carlops. Haven't ran on these hills before, they were very nice. Runnable but still the odd tough bit and not too steep so not as punishing on the legs. Not sure of the actual distance and time includes running from Jess' to Tullie Towers. Stomach still not 100% but on the mend.
