Swindale SE. Re-ran Lakes 5 course from 2006 again. Usual no compass action, losing contact on a long leg then running in whatever direction until relocating several million miles from the red line. Tough out there today, snow was crunchy enough to hold weight until pushing off, wet bits ranged from very wet to wetter than very wet. Was tired too so stopped at 15 and walked back which took fifty f-ing minutes. Looking on the bright side at least I can walk back after deciding done enough, not really an option when it's -20. Anyway just about rescued this weeks training after taking 6 days off resting my right calf and looking forward to a day off from running tomorrow.

Shap - Wet Sleddale - Mosedale - Swindale - Keld - Shap i.e. same route as 23/02/09. Felt almost high descending into Swindale - simply beautiful, no-one around for miles, running ok, back in England... all good :)

Now back in the land of lakes, valleys and snowy mountains... so I went road running. Easy all of the way apart from the big hill up thru Rosgill (80m) in the second split.
