MTBO race 1:39:25 [3] 24.66 km (14.9 kph)
shoes: Sidi MTB

Went the world's stupidest way to number one, including a sightseeing tour of the top of Turner Hill just to add to the time. After that not too bad but ran out of steam when I hit 90min. A bit embarrassing to have Ricky do a faster time on the Long course (I did medium)!
Great to see the improvements to the map since 2006. Obviously the fire has done wonders for finding tracks that our original gardening efforts couldn't uncover. Some parts even look vaguely runnable.
Ankle really sore - much worse than walking.

MTB 30:00 [3] 5.8 km (11.6 kph)
shoes: Sidi MTB

Took Aoife for a spin in the Cougar. She dozed off for the slog up hill but the bumps on the way down woke her up. On the plus side she wore her helmet the whole way - a first!

Orienteering race 14:52 [3] 2.5 km (5:57 / km)
shoes: DS Trainer

Finally my lucky day. Was pure luck though. A fun course that tricked me out in the early parts. Obviously I warmed up and also relaxed after the first few, knowing I'd blown it, and ran pretty smoothly in the second part of the race.
Eoin's mega Voltaren and taping my ankle worked well, the only hesitations were the stairs which I had to walk down & pussy-foot up. A big improvement on contemplating not being able to make it home from the library this morning.

Run 10:00 [3] 1.9 km (5:16 / km)
shoes: Kayano 15

Interrupted run. Twisted ankle on way to Nicole's. Finished the rest off as a walk - attempted to run a few time but it was not working :(

Pilates / Physio 1:00:00 [3]

A bit limited with no weight on and no flexion of ankle.

Cycling 20:00 [3] 8.0 km (24.0 kph)
shoes: Sidi Road

A bit harder work today - gusty winds and so much sand, sticks, leaves on the road. Piles of pine needles going up Malcolm St!

Run 1:00:00 [3] 9.6 km (6:15 / km)
shoes: DS Trainer

Another run up Mt Majura. This time followed the track at the bottom further & then the fenceline up to the road. Ran about 3/4 of the way up the hill (a big improvement on yesterday), just impeded by a few bits of very rough ground & some thick patches that I wasn't really dressed for running through. Really enjoyed today but tired & sore by the end. Wrong shoes for this kind of run I think.

Run 44:00 [3] 7.0 km (6:17 / km)
shoes: DS Trainer

Stunning day so had to try a run and managed it fine. Went from Nadine's up Mt Majura. Cut up the hill along a powerline as I didn't know how long it would all take, that part was a bit of a slog. Might try the whole way by track tomorrow.
