Not far, but long with 3 girls, Aoife in particular was painfully slow. The further behind she is, the slower she gets... Lovely out on the mountain side!

DNF. I didn;t really save much distance but definitely saved further unnecessary wear and tear to my hip, it was a rough morning out for me.

Was going OK but could feel my hip from the climb out of 2 onwards. slogged around but when I saw the leg down to 11 then straight back up to 12 and looked at my watch I decided that was enough. Had intended to go back in the terrain and get all the convenient controls but sensibly decided to get out the the flat ASAP. Glad I did as only just made it back in one piece. Aoife did well minding herself :)

Revenge on Yackandandah (well almost). Was fairly pleased with my run but a little bit of lost time. Slow at the start as I couldn't get down the embankment. Went a long way around the fend to a path for a gentler gradient. Lost a heap of time at 7 - went wrong side of a hill (thought it was something else). Another error was leaving 10. Could not cope with another gully crossing so went around - but way too far around after missing a path turning. Disappointing that the map was so hard to read, I could not make out the numbers but hoped I had the sequence of control circles right. One benefit of walking :) Again no real pain, but did not like the gravel tracks or steep slopes, or fence crossings.

Kangaroo Crossing - Yay! Annoying to go out here in my condition but I really wanted to enjoy the day. I did. The course was quite simple, but that didn't matter it was beautiful! Ran the final leg. No pain today.

Tougher terrain today so resolved to walk most of the way. Was trying to limit climbing and going down so my only mistake was to contour round a broad gully. Ended up way too high and lost around 15 minutes. Time I cannot afford to lose if walking!!!

Day 1 of the 5 days. Lovely open forest. I tried running (jogging) and it was OK. Hip got "tired" after about 20 min so was walking from there. It got very sore at about 30 min so very slow into the finish.
