Orienteering 1:30:00 [3] 4.0 km (22:30 / km)
shoes: VJ Irock

Went out after the middle distance, updating numbers on tapes for radio controls etc. Long day!

3rd again. A bit annoyed today as was a bit scrappy on a few (5, 7 and 9) but not too bad. Then completely lost my head at 13 and 14. It probably didn't cost me a place but I would have liked a cleaner run. Finally ran out of steam in the last km and really struggled in the finish chute. I think the week caught up with me there - too many skipped meals and lost sleep!

Very happy to take 3rd place today! I had not expected to make the start line with 10am arrival in Sydney and the train not getting to Bathurst until 4:25pm. I found out late last night the train (aka bus) was full and On top of everything eoin would need to come to Lithgow to pick me up. Sitting on the tarmac in Sydney I felt ok to drive so googled the cost of a 1 way car hire, booked on line and picked up the keys 20 min later. Set off for Bathurst unsure of whether I'd need to stop for lunch, sleep etc but managed to make the trip. Felt wrecked getting out of the car but keen to run so I did. A bit scrappy and could have saved bits of time but 46s behind Jenny is more than I could have hoped for so quite satisfied.

Bit of an explore of the park in KL. very popular and nice place in the big city. Good to stretch the legs after lots of work and travel. Expecting to be very cooped up for next few days too.

MTB 1:30:00 [3] 18.0 km (12.0 kph)
shoes: Sidi MTB

Time and distance a guess. Bruce Ridge with Nat, similar to a few weeks ago but this time we came back via the caravan park side. Great day out! Feeling a bit better on the bike but had a few hairy corners where the gravel is loose. My back break needs new pads I think.
