Not a good day out on a course that did not suit or inspire me. I managed to make a mess of the only 2 difficult(isn) controls. Not sure what happened on 5, I counted gullies and ended up short. Martina and Tracy had similar experiences... for 11, I did no keep a good direction and had the map folded badly. Worked out where I was at one stage, but did not want to believe it so carried on regardless!

Really not with it today. Ran past attackpoint for number 1 because it came up too soon. Got back in control after that but was never running very well. Quite scared for ankles in the wet terrain and new shoes, but survived.

Found out later it was 1:7,500 map. That explains a lot that was wrong today!

With Nat again, I am liking Thursday mornings. Taking it fairly easy as was feeling a bit tired. Its getting darker now and I managed to get a piece of barbed wire hooked on my shoelace. Luckily I worked out something was wrong and was slowing up as the wire ran out of length, and somehow managed not to end up in a face plant! It would have been pretty ugly if I was at normal pace... GPS missing a bit as forgot to turn it back on after untangling myself.
