DVOA Mt. Penn - Brown

Dropped to Brown for the day as I wasn't certain how things would feel out in advanced terrain. Only walking. Also tried to stay more to trail routes and out of the rocks as much as possible. I'm most worried about the jolt that would come from tripping hard, falling, or stepping in an unexpected hole. For the most part, everything felt ok. The course was a good summer one, not too difficult, and stayed in pretty nice parts of the woods. Stopped to o-vangelize for a few minutes with a guy who was power walking along the road. He had a little bit of an idea what was happening, saw me cut into the woods and wondered how I knew when to leave the road.

My doctor's office still didn't have the x-rays yesterday (after a whole week) so I called radiology and they faxed them over again. Apparently for some reason they didn't go the first time. So she called tonight and said the verdict is degenerative changes in L5 and L6. It wasn't until after she hung up that I remembered that it's only supposed to go up to L5, so I'll have to check with the PT doc next week, but I might have an extra vertebrae. Apparently about 10% of people do.
