Fun with Rowan today around lake Lyndon,

Summitted Mt Lyndon then climbed up to Red Hill. From there we attempted to get down back to Coleridge Rd, found some good scree so were losing height pretty fast but then we hit the scrub which turned to beech forest (we named it 'Roel's' forest) which lost us a lot of time out to the road. Then attempted to make our way to Mt Ben Moore ridge but just got stuck in the swamp. Lost a lot of time there as well.

Eventually we ascended up to Mt Ben Moore expecting to look out across the plains but only saw a lot of cloud. Then across the saddle and up to our highest spot height where we each ate a creme egg before going down to Rabbit saddle and up to Rabbit hill by which time the weather had begun to pack in.

We ran the last few k's around the road back to the car, overall it was a pretty successful day!
