Hiking 1:30:00 [3] 6.0 mi (15:00 / mi) +300m 12:59 / mi
shoes: Brooks Running 24

Hiking with Sam and Presto at Treman State Park! My ankle seemed like it would be up for a light hike, so we headed to a nearby gorge. Sadly, the gorge trail is closed for ice(?), so we hiked up the rim trail and down the Finger Lakes trail. The hike was nice with a few more people than would have been ideal, but nothing that wasn't workable.

This place looks like it is completely awesome and completely PACKED with people in the summer. We have decided that we will definitely have to come at like 6am some hot, summer weekend to avoid the crowds, run up the gorge trail and down the finger lakes trail and then jump in the pool under the water fall that it looks like they dam for swimming in the summer. Should be awesome!

Biking 43:00 [3]
(injured)

Biking in place! It was warm inside and outside today. Once it starts getting dark a bit later, I might be able to actually bike somewhere during these evening rides. Ankle felt good on the bike. It's still a little painful on stairs and when changing direction suddenly, but it's generally doing well.

Biking 43:00 [3]
(injured)

Biking in place! My ankle is almost back to where it was before I went running last week, so, um progress? Biking felt completely fine. No ankle pain, no achilles weirdness, so that's good at least. Otherwise, my ankle feels good except when changing directions suddenly and sometimes on the stairs. Maybe I'll try adding some wobble board in or something? I clearly need to stay away from running for a while, but I'm not 100% sure how long. I guess now that it is getting warmer, it's also easier to go for run/walk excursions without freezing to death if I need to.

Hiking 45:00 [3] 3.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
(injured)

Walking around Mulholland Wildflower Preserve with Sam and Presto! We wanted something easy on my ankle today, so we just headed down to the other side of town to check out a different gorge than usual. It was extremely pleasant out. My ankle wasn't perfect when the ground was uneven, but did ok other than that. Great to get out!

Biking 40:00 [3]
(injured)

Biking in place! I wanted a bit more cardio than just walking around, so after sitting outside in the sun for a while, I came in for some biking in place. It felt fine until the very end when I got a sudden sharp pain in my ankle and decided that that was enough exercise. A good use of the day!
