Orienteering race 40:06 [5] *** 6.2 km (6:28 / km) +170m 5:41 / km
spiked:15/17c shoes: Walshes 4

British Relays Ebor 1st leg
Set off too quickly, was surprised that I went out the field in second although quickly went backwards after that. Made a slight mistake to two, was standing near it but couldn't see it and number 15 where I found myself on the wrong spur. Felt pretty good at the start and through till the spectator but the final loop just killed me again and with my mistake ende dup losing a fair bit of time too.

Orienteering warm up/down 20:00 [3] 1.5 km (13:20 / km)
shoes: Walshes 4

Round the assembly field, few drills in the box and stuff

Orienteering race 1:23:42 [5] *** 11.6 km (7:13 / km) +460m 6:01 / km
spiked:21/27c shoes: Walshes 4

British Championships M18E
Had a really good run, focussed on getting it right and it worked in the main part. Felt I was a bit sloppy through the first few till 10 didn't lose too much time as they were mainly shorter legs; 1 ended up on the wrong side of the thicket, 2 took a bad route through the rhoddys, 8 went too high and found myself at the pond, 9 was stood on the other side of the hill for ages!!!. After 10 I was smooth on the longer open legs caught Graham up by 15mins going into 14, and could see Farmer (6mins) going out of 15 but made a mistake to 16; came in too early and was stood on the other side of the ride wondering whether I'd gone too far. Was fine to 17 and nearly fine to 18, ran almost to the control couldn't see it so ran off into the next re-entrant and dropped to low. 19 - the finish was fine but my legs felt absolutly knakered after 22.

Don't reckon being ill would have improved me much maybe could have stole a podium??

Orienteering warm up/down 40:00 [3] 3.0 km (13:20 / km)
shoes: Walshes 4

Jog to the start and back a few times then drills then focussing time.
Short jog round the field as I had sore legs and feet

Running long 54:00 [3] 9.0 km (6:00 / km) +90m 5:43 / km
shoes: Asic GT 2140

Had been feeling a bit off all day but decided to go out to try wake myself up a bit, felt ok for the first 10mins then in the second 10mins just got completely ground out then by that time it was too far to make sense to turn around. Kept going and felt ok on the long downhill from Sunniside, but started seeing stars a bit then tripped on a root and fell over on to my elbow and knees. Got up and started again but soon stopped as I'm just obviously not right at the moment again. Glad the season is over this weekend as I'm going to have a recovery period whilst my exams are on before a summer of speed work. Then whilst walking back home managed to get strung by a baby wasp... BAD DAY INDEED!!!

Note: Comp running track is back
