Running 45:00 [3] 7.6 km (5:55 / km)
shoes: Inov8 RocLite 315

Home for a few days.

Event at Eaton Park, other side of Chester so decided to run over to it. Had a quick look at the map and thought it would be about 5/6k, so was a little longer than what I wanted to do in the end.

Down the canal, along the walls, over the jubliee bridge, through the meadows and along a few roads for the last k or so. Can't remember when I last went to the meadows but seemed like a nice place when I got over to it.

Wasn't entirely sure which way I was going on the roads after the meadows and my claf was starting to feel tired, which was annoying.

Eaton Park
Hadn't been planning on doing any orienteering when I got there but was going to help out with some coaching after the event. Calf wasn't that happy but as I was only very gently running and walking was ok.

One of the schools stayed behind after the event, which hadn't been expected. there wasn't really enough maps so I made up a simplification course and got them to draw there own maps. Not sure how many controls they found but I think they learnt something.

Reckon that was 2.5 intensity, so may well be running at 3 at weekend. Calf felt good down the downhills, even if very gentle. On the way back through the park was easy doing intesnity 3. Uphills still a slight problem but managed to run back up from endcliffe park.

Both ankles hurt at one point or other, still trying to get the balance right. Upper left leg muscles a bit sire still.

Running 50:00 [2] 7.5 km (6:40 / km)
(injured) shoes: Inov8 RocLite 315

Set off aiming for about 5/6k. Went down to endcliffe park a new way, joining the normal road half way down.

Stopped at 3k road. Was wondering what to do. Calf was twitching every now and again but really felt like going on, so did. 1km into the way back had to stop and massage/stretch. Wasn't as comfortable from then on, felt a bit stupid for going out and running that sort of distance when I should be building it up slowly. Don't think I've made it worse again, maybe a rest from running tomorrow.

Left leg was complaining as well, so was trying to relax and run balanced and relaxed.

Stretching 10:00 [1]

Running 22:00 [1] 3.2 km (6:52 / km)
(injured) shoes: Inov8 RocLite 315

Did some stretching and massaging before I went out.

Felt it every now and then and increased speed little by little as I went round. Walked for about 10m up a steep bit onto fulwood road.

Slightly higher inetsity than yesterday but not up to 2 yet. Think I might be up to intensity 3 by this weekend, and maybe longer intervals next week.

Running 16:00 [1] 1.7 km (9:25 / km)

Really really slow. Wasn't sure if I should go out, i.e. no problem walking now and managed to jog on spot for 5 mins fine but still weary.

Anyway, ran round the south edge of Endcliffe site then along a flat road (endcliffe Hall avenue until it went down a hill. Not far but going to slowly build it up over the week, doubt there will be any intervals this week.

Every so often it hurt a little and realised after a while my left ankle was working harder than normal, which I tried to change. Don't really want to make the calf hurt as that is what made it as bad as it was to begin with.
