Cycling 48:07 intensity: (14:52 @0) + (20:21 @1) + (10:29 @2) + (2:25 @3) 19.24 km (2:30 / km) +196m 2:23 / km
ahr:128 max:158

Ride with Lex, just a warm up really but felt ok. On the 3rd Cube frame, not sure I like it, is much shorter in the top tube than the other two. Also not sure about Stodge's seatpost, way too flexy for a fatty like me (different seatpost size to previous frames, annoying, except hopefully it's now stronger where I broke the other two).

Running 2:29:42 intensity: (3:51 @0) + (18:56 @1) + (1:12:54 @2) + (53:52 @3) + (9 @4) 22.74 km (6:35 / km) +235m 6:16 / km
ahr:144 max:162

Then running, very hot and legs still pretty destroyed, Lex totally beasted me but did have the decency to service my back afterwards. I hope this is just tiredness, getting a bit frustrated with how running is holding me back, think my swimming is better than my running!

Kayaking (Flat) 1:01:04 [0] 7.8 km (7:50 / km)
ahr:106 max:120

Fairly easy paddle, loosen the arms from the weekend mainly. Nice to be back in a proper boat. However I do seem to have got myself in a mess over the hand position. Having convinced myself the boat handles better with a narrower grip, I had a conversation with Campbell at the weekend which apart from him giving me a useful rule of thumb, actually made me think about the physics of it and definitely need my hands further apart as otherwise the top arm isn't acting as a pivot but instead needing to be pushed through. Maybe why I got so sore on Sunday, maybe wouldn't have made any difference. So back to the original grip and just get on with the handling.

Swimming (Lake) 15:00 [0]

Then met up with Lex, Tim and Sam and went for a short swim from Howtown. Very enjoyable actually. Still need to get in the pool and bang out some lengths to get back in the groove.

Felt overall ok, still tired, but bruising going down

ahr:132 max:158

Out with Lex, but didn't do the whole thing as still a little sore from weekend's falling over. Need to sort out a proper road or cross bike for next week, will be broken doing 5.5hrs on an MTB at that pace.

Cycling race (Road on MTB) 1:58:38 intensity: (8:07 @0) + (12:16 @1) + (22:30 @2) + (45:24 @3) + (29:45 @4) + (36 @5) 42.95 km (2:46 / km) +840m 2:31 / km
ahr:150 max:182

Lanequest R1. Not really taking them at all seriously this year, just need to do a bit more higher HR stuff. Chose MTB partly because of road bike back woe, and partly just to make me not take it so serious out there. Still feeling the weekend quite a bit, knee still technicolor as are both outside of thighs. Lovely evening and enjoyed it. Only got 23 and was a few mins late, but distance climb looks ok for 2 hrs. I can see only rolling for less than 2 hrs, had a few traffic lights and all those fiddling with pin punches, a couple of nav moments in the urban area on a 1:50k.
