Orienteering Race race (Score event) 1:09:53 [4]
shoes: innov8 rocklite 285

Did a 70min score event. Did a silly mistake of following the boys at the start who stuffed up completely.lol. did another mistake at the 3rd control and then the rest were pretty good. ran really hard to get a 50pointer in the last minute but when i had finished (7sec early) i soon found out that i had already got that one. grrr.... silly me. overall pretty fun race.

Orienteering training (Sprint Training) 25:00 [4]

Sprint Training at Carrington in Auckland. We did some short chasing start sort of excercises (3 of them) where we were running the people in front down. Big trains ended up forming but i believed it helped me with the pressure of people being around me. Then we did a relay type excercise where me and Rachel started at the same time and then we had lots of different splits but the course generally went the same way. It was good practice but quite a few mistakes were made by me!!lol.
Overall good sprint training at Carrington.

Warmed up for 15min before sprint training and then 5min warm down

Orienteering training (Forest/sand dunes practic) 35:00 [3]

Forest/Sand dunes training at Hobbit Woods. We parked on one of the roads and then ran to the part we were going to train on. was a decent warm up. We did a shortish exercise on the open sand dunes which was good but i found it so hard to look for obvious features and route choices. That map was 1:5000 which seems as though it would be a lot easier but i had quite a bit of difficulty.lol. After finishing that exercise we ran back to the Vehicles.

We then did a simplification exercise in the forest. Was really good and was orienteering really smoothly but then one small mistake at about control 5 and then i picked up and concentrated on the rest and did them pretty well. I actually bet scott on a leg.lol

We then did a team exercise in the forest with RAchel , Angela and me. We all lead a leg each abd then swapped around. Was really interesting to see how others orienteer and good to hear feedback on how we orieneteer. We took it pretty easy and concentrated on the oing a bit more. Overall good exercise.

was going to run up in auckland, but real tired from geo trip and had better things to do like see hang with my wonderful sister......and found the most perfect ball dress

Hill Reps hills 45:00 [4]
shoes: Adistar cusion

10x 45secs hill reps fast with 90sec recovery running between each.
10min warm up and 10 warm down
On the warm down was pretty tired, but kept going, recoverys i was tired, but the actual reps felt good.

Long Run, around the roads, with duncan. Dark. Felt pretty good....
Got a sore knee towards the end due to running on roads

Running tempo 45:00 [4]
shoes: Adistar cusion

Went for a 45 min run, faster than normal training pace.
Didnt get too tired, and i ran with duncan so it was a good workout.
