Orienteering race 53:14 [5] 7.4 km (7:12 / km)
(sick) shoes: Inov8 x talon 212 #3

Aus relay. Running first leg on a team with Josh and Robbie. Pretty stacked first leg so let the pack go and really focused on nailing the first couple. They were running way too quick for me anyway. Had a few small misses here and there but was mostly going steadily around until I lost a good 2 mins at 18. Bit disappointed to be so far down. Thinking I might need to reassess orienteering a bit over summer.

Orienteering race 2:00:00 [3] 15.7 km (7:39 / km)
(sick) shoes: Inov8 x talon 212 #3

Aus long. Started ok but Thor caught me 2 mins pretty quickly. Hung onto him for a few controls but began to struggle and lost him. Also stuffed the next control which cost me. Was a bit low on energy as I've been, and still am, sick. Had a few more people catch me and I couldn't really stick with them, didn't have the pace. Then around halfway my hip flexor began to hurt and I was struggling to lift my leg up without it hurting. Putting in some power also hurt. So ran the rest at a much reduced pace watching the field come past. A good 4 min error on the second last was the cherry on top. Was a very hot 2 hours. Hoping tomorrow goes better

Orienteering 30:00 [3] *** 3.0 km (10:00 / km)
(sick) shoes: Inov8 x talon 212 #3

Public race after the schools. Have been getting sick and didn't feel great today but still wanted to get out there. Made a really stupid mistake on the first, not getting my head into the map properly. Then at 2, I put my foot down funny in the long grass and sprained it a little. Hurt a bit but tried to run through it. Ended up majorly missing the next control and kept twinging my ankle on all the hidden rocks. Decided to walk up until number 7, then 12 and 11 to pull out. Going to rest now until the long on Sat

Orienteering 16:26 [5] 2.5 km (6:34 / km)
shoes: Nike Flyknit Lunar2

Aus Sprint. Had a raging sore throat yesterday and this morning so wasn't feeling the best. Ran ok though in the end. Lost 20 secs or so going along the wrong building gap to #4 but that probably wouldn't have changed my placing in the end. Came 9th so not too bad for me.
