Long Champs at Gumble. So so soooo frustrated with my race because it was so much fun and i went so bad. Got back and just wanted to do it all over because i shouldn't have made that many mistakes and i was hoping to feel so much better about it... 3 and 10 were the real bad ones, i wouldve well and truly lost 5 mins at each, and then there were some other slightly smaller mistakes and hesitations on some other controls too. I think the biggest thing today was that i needed to make sure i saw exactly what i wanted to see, and when i did that i was happy enough but it wasnt very often. I guess at least i got some good relocation practice in! ;)
State League 5 at Rocky Falls.
Got within 5m of the first control and stood there for about a minute wondering what i had done wrong because i didn't see the control, and that kind of set me up for the whole race aha. Stopped early on a fair few controls and i was really slack with my compass and exit direction. Got some specifics to work on!
Jog from home with some surges. Felt good moving my legs fast today! Feet were kind of sore though, think it's just a mixture of different shoes last night at netball and standing at work again though.
15min warm up.
Short hills: 2* 5x 30sec hills w/ jog back recovery. Got a pretty consistent distance for them all so it was good. Keen for tomorrows rest day to be honest :)
12min warm down.
Run at walka with a 90second surge every 8.5mins. Really good for me to have to make myself keep running at a good pace after the surges. And super nice weather for running today!
