Orienteering (Aus. Relay Champs) 19:14 [3] 2.7 km (7:07 / km) +80m 6:12 / km

Had a good run. Got really caught in one of the fences. I saw the hole and was like "Yes, I can fit through here". Turns out I couldn't and got my shirt caught. Had to put down my compass and map and try to untangle my self. Also on one of the last controls I saw the fence crossings and went through them only to find another fence in front of me. I didn't see the map properly and it was a double fence. That would account for the extra fence!!!

Orienteering (Australian Long Champs) 33:09 [3] 3.0 km (11:03 / km) +125m 9:09 / km

Had the beat run ever! Ran straight past one control, and was really nervous about the girl behind me catching up. I ran the whole way, but slowed down near the control site. Did not get confused with all the gullies. Broke down the long legs (most of them) seeing as there were 6 controls.

Had a great run! Was able to plan ahead and look at exit direction, because they were so close. I also was able to memorize control numbers while I was running. Later on my legs really started to ache.

Orienteering (Schools Relay Champs) 37:45 [3] 3.7 km (10:12 / km) +65m 9:23 / km

Ran quite well. Had a bit of trouble with the creek crossings and all. And with number 3. I was in the wrong gully. Later on I realized where I was supposed to be. And I also had a few off bearings, which was really annoying!

Stuffed up the first one so the girl behind me caught up. But other than that had a pretty clean run. Except for number 5, where i swear there was another gully somewhere!

Orienteering (Queensland Long Champs) 28:20 [3] 2.9 km (9:46 / km) +110m 8:13 / km

Had a much better run today. It was a long walk to the start! But a good warm up. I knew I had to keep running to do a good time, and I did. The only one I had trouble with was number 2 (again), I was on the wrong side of the water course, but I still found the control. (eventually).

Orienteering (Aus. Middle Distance) 18:26 [3] 1.6 km (11:31 / km) +40m 10:14 / km

Had a bad run. I did really well on all my controls except for number 2. I took a bearing to the gully, ran up it hoping to find the termite mound. Turns out my bearing was off so I ran up the wrong gully. Stumbled around for a bit, then relocated by running to find the fence. When I got back threw up, must have been the heat, or those lunches!

Orienteering (NSW Champs) 35:46 [3] 2.9 km (12:20 / km) +70m 11:00 / km

Ran well except control 3 had a bit of a mix up with a few rock faces and no. 5. Was on the right rock ledge just on the wrong side. In the end I was happy with my run and came 1st.

Swam 50 free, back and breast. Was happy with my free time, seeing as I haven't been training, 32:33 was pretty good.

Another cricket training session, but this time we did it with the senior team! Was so fun! We had to do high catches and catch them mid air, then on one foot. Had this skill passing thing and I couldn't do it the opposite way so everyone was telling me where to go!

Did cricket training on the school oval. I got in the 1st's!!! YAY! But the bad thing is that only 2 other girls in my year are in my team and the other girls are all like State reps. who bowl really really fast. Was really fun though!

Orienteering (Schools Series) 1:10:00 [3]

I don't know if this time is right. But it's rough. Had a really good first half until I crossed over the road, and I kept taking off bearings and found a rock face that I thought the control was on but it wasn't. Was so annoyed. Was going to number one and saw this huge lizard with a flat head. It was looking at me and I nearly stepped on it so I screamed!!!! I was SOOOOO SCARY!

Ran around Croydon again. Did a slow easy jog, then sprint intervals at the park.
