AROC Race 1:38:00 [3] 17.0 km (5:46 / km)

First had to swim across some lake, which was really smelly, then had 2 controls on foot, followed by either another swim or a run over a bridge, we chose to run. Then we had to kayak p to the bike drop off point, where we did a bike leg. It was pretty cool cause we had to ride along Anzac Parade (Canberra) and find out what all the memorials were for. Then we dropped our bikes off and did a small orienteering leg which was 4 controls in any order. Got back on the bikes after copying controls off a master map and rode past the final controls and to the finish. Only had one major stack where we were riding on leaves and did a sharp turn, only to land on my head about 4 cm from this massive tree root. Had a great time. Placed 4h overall in the novice class and 3rd in the mixed section. Turns out my brother also won a 'random prize' which were a $300 pair of sunnies!

Pouring today like doing nothing. Only thing for the weekend is the AROC Race in Canberra, cause I have to study for the School Certificate Assessment on monday. : (

Went down to the dirt tracks across the road with dad. Had a great time and good practice for the AROC race on saturday.

Unsure of distance, was meant to be hilly, but didn't feel it. Had to walk the last part cause b back was killing sooo much. Looks like i'm in for some intense back stretches.

Ran/walked dad's summer series orienteering course with him, seeing as i'm not here for it. Was bitterly cold and the rain was icy. Was really good cause it was mostly in the bush.

Went to the rock climbing gym with some friends. Was really happy, cause i did one which went straight up, then out towards me on and angle, then in and out again. Went in "the dungeon" which was a dark, automatic one, which was pretty cool.

Back extension exercises, cause i've been getting a really sore back lately and also knee exercises, so it will stop hurting when i run.

Played in the pit (dive catches) for 45 minutes then used the rest of the time to do long catches. Found out we're not in the semi's, so now i can go to my friends b'day party.

Orienteering (Summer Series) 44:28 [3] 6.5 km (6:50 / km)

Had a good run even though i only scored 340. Could have gotten an extra 30 pointer but got to no. 1 and realized i had forgotten a pencil. Had to run back and get one then go back to my first control. Wasted 3 minutes.

Ran in the rain down to the park and did a few sprint intervals. Felt really good.

Went across the road with my brother and dad and did a bush run, through long grass, around creeks and really scrubby bush.

Won 92 to 83. Our first real game (the other one was against a lower division). Think we are in the semi's which means i might have to miss a friends b'day party. Had a really good game. In one over i bowled 2 out and then caught and bowled another out! : )

Did all these different types of shots against the wall. On the last one, one of the seniors hit a straight drive and it went up quite high and smashed through this glass shield wall.

Even though i got back late i felt like i had a really good run, even though i only scored 340. Ran a few controls then saw Eloy and he was ahead of me for most controls, did the next 6 together.

Went down to the park with mum. While she walked I did loops and came back to her. Upper hip hurt when it was directly aligned, but i think i was leaning forward heaps so i straightened up and it didn't hurt as much.

Have no idea how far we rode but it was far. We rode along the edge of the Georges river, through heaps of different suburbs.

We versed this girl who does the summer series as well and she bowled to me and it hit my thigh, which really hurt but i bowled her out!

Ran around the oval and then did catches and fielding.

Did this ladder exercise with throwing and then played a game.

Orienteering 50:03 [3]

Ran over time so lost 60 point. In the end scored 350. Was not very happy cause the map up near the highway was wrong. Anyway was really happy becasue i ran exactly from one end of the map all the way to the other side. Was really crowded cause of the rugby.

Won. YAY!!! First game. The score was 144 to 40. It was really weird weather. One minute it was pouring the next it was boiling hot! : )
