Orienteering race (Aus Schools Relay) 43:38 [3] 5.1 km (8:33 / km) +150m 7:28 / km

Was so happy with my run up until number 11 :(spent 6 minutes on a 200m leg :( Just wasnt paying too much attention to the direction of the gully i was heading up and ended up going way off course. Happy with my performance through the spectators, managed o ignore most of the noise, i think

Orienteering race (Aus Schools Individual) 1:00:04 [3] 5.4 km (11:07 / km) +220m 9:14 / km

Loved the first half of the map, pretty much before the spectator, was able to choose route choices which suited my running ability in the terrain, avoiding most of the hills and ridge hopping, felt absolutley terrible at the spectator and looked it from the photos, from that point on a tad sloppy with my navigation and the massive hill from 13 to 14, despite being a pointless control pretty much destroyed me, overall happy with my run especially considering my sickness

Long leg to number 2 I changed my plan halfway through which did cause some trouble, rather tired and lagging in energy most of the way round however the last 4 or so controls i did manage to pick up the pace a bit and was happy with my navigational efforts from 2 onwards :)

Orienteering race (Aus Middle) 28:25 [3] 3.0 km (9:28 / km) +100m 8:07 / km

Was too eager to get running at the beginning of my course and as a result wasted time on number 1, running from control to control.....other than that, mastered my navigation around the rest of the course however my lack of training showed in the last few conrols on the grassy hills :(

Went to the local event today, however decided i wasnt up for the 7.7km street run....feel pretty average today, still heaps stuffy, hopefully will be better by wednesday so i can do the track session.

Run around the park just to try and break in my inov8;s. Felt so good, and light however i was feeling terrible, had to stop and blow my nose alot, so stuffy in the head, and my eyes were running, it looked like i was crying! I guess you could say im not feeling 100% which has resulted in my lack of training this week.

Was absolutley pouring, i mean torrential rain, the athletics track was flooding and seeping in downstairs!! Started to do a warm up undercover around the outside of the grandstand, then over the intercom they kept asking everyone to leave the track, but i guess we're just so hardcore we ran:
4x250
Times were: 57.09,53.72, 55.77, 56.22 (with 1 minute rest inbetween)

1x250, 1x200
Times were: 54.58, 40.96
Then had to stop because i was just getting too sore

Orienteering (NSW Long Champs) 56:03 [3] 4.0 km (14:01 / km) +110m 12:19 / km

Pretty much another clean run, however i did muck up the last control, because i didnt relocate as i crossed the railwayline/track :( Very steep course, however made it challenging which was good

Walked/jogged to the start, then some stretches and another small run back along the track

Had a very clean run, no errors, running well. However it was an easy orange style course

Warmed up with sally on the way to the start bit of a jog/walk
Warm down with glen at the end who explained to me the importance of warming down

Swimming (Life Saving) 1:15:00 [3]

2 exams down only 8 more to go :) haha. After exam today, was good to get my mind refreshed. Had to do quite a bit of swimming today including a 600m swim, which my friend and i decided to do side stroke so we could talk, and finish comfortably in our 17 minute time limit. Good fun :)

Walked home after my exam today, not as long as the normal route because i caught the train for some of it. But this way I had to walk 1.5km up this straight hill. Halfway up i remembered i forgot my house keys, so sat outside for a whille before dad came to the rescue....

At Callan Park today, was so so windy which made it difficult to run in some places. No nav errors however my legs were rather sore from last night :(

Most of the same stuff except im finding it alot easier now

Found it really hard without flippers to do the running intervals however in the second set when i did have them on I felt really great except my feet cramped up at the end :( The med ball stuff at the end was really hard despite me only using the 2kg....

Note

Haven't done anything this week, im really annoyed at myself for being so unmotivated. Physio was on tuesday and because of my sore back after the weekend she suggested i only run one day up at lithgow :( however will be going to see her the friday before so will find out for sure then.....hopefully will do some short intervals tomorrow and the event on sunday
in other news....wiggle finally had one pair of inov8's in my size so i ordered them a couple of hours ago :)
