Warm Up/ Down 15:00 [3]

Did some jogs at different speeds along the road. Then when I was ready to go to the start I ran through the scrub, trying to get used to it. When I was at the start I did some stretching and some short run thoughs.

Orienteering race (Belangalo) 41:00 [3]

Had an alright run. Got my map and I was fine, but then got to the first control and was like 'Where on earth is it?' I then thought that I was going to have a really bad time. Then on the way to number four I was running along the tracks instead of the thick green. I couldn't see or hear anyone. There were crows in the sky squaking. Got quite nervous. But then I saw someone from the blue course who started in front of me and Elly. Saw number four and tried to run straight to it instead of weaving. I jumped over a log but cut hort and tripped and landed on my shoulder. Ran the rest really well. It was flat and fast. I was really happy with my run, except for number one.

Orienteering (Bloomfield Park) 50:00 [3]

Time was approx. We did a pairs relay today. I was with Alex.O and we did four relay legs each. I had the bush one first (the one with the creek) I saw the control so ran straight to it and found that there was a creek, so I came back with a muddy foot. Then had the two sprint courses and then the other bush course last. On that course I knew Glen would be behind me trying to catch me, so I decided to cross the fence closer to where I needed to be. When I got there it was a really tight fence, so I tried to squeeze through but kept getting my clothes caught. I eventually got out but stood up then fell over cause I was so dizzy from turning around unpicking my clothes. Was really fun!

At the start did a jog then some ladder exercises and some run throughs.

Orienteering (Oaky Creek) 42:00 [3] 4.0 km (10:30 / km)

This map was the camp champs! When I started I wasn't nervous. But once I got closer to the first control I couldn't really find it. Ran the rest of the course well except I caught up to Nicola at the second last control. I was like 'Ok one more to go, don't stuff it up.' But I stuffed it up anyway. I was on the right spur.

Did a warm up with Nicola. Ran for a bit then did some stretches, which were definitely needed.

Orienteering (Macqurie Woods) 13:00 [3]

Don't know my time but i remember I got 12 minutes something. Did 4 short courses one of them was really long.

Did a course with Nicola and Karen following us. We had to talk about what we would do for each leg.

Don't know about the time. Just an estimate. Did mass start bush intervals. We did 3 then had the choice to do one more. I did not because my feet were so muddy already, that i didn't want to get them even muddier.

Had to do a pairs relocation with Tamara. Was ok. For some of them I wasn't quite sure the exact spot we were in.

Did map memory with Tamara. This time I picked where we had to go. Was happy with the legs except for one where you had to go down this really steep gully.

Orienteering (Ophir South) 20:00 [3]

Did a control picking course. Ran alright except for number 9, Glen and I were in the wrong gully.

Warm Up/ Down 10:00 [3]

Did a run and a small stretch with Tamara before we started.

Tuesday Jul 8, 2008 #

Orienteering (Lake Canobolas) 45:00 [3]

I got 2160 points (10 off from nicola). Was quite happy with my run and I did manage to plan ahead. There was one control which I did not get on the course, but when I got back I realized it wasn't that much further. It was a great course, very easy running.

Warm Up/ Down 10:00 [3]

Did some ladder exercises to warm up and some weights exercises to warm down.
