Orienteering race (QBIII Day 2) 1:00:59 [3] 7.7 km (7:55 / km) +240m 6:51 / km

Long Distance at Falnash
Was having such an amazing run today. Was focused on my exit direction and planning ahead and my speed felt so good!
8- lost my focus here, too busy worrying about getting water at the next control and where I was in relation to the start. As a result, I picked up the wrong track and was running 90 degrees in the wrong direction
lost: 3min :(

Other than that, would have made for such a good race!

Warm Up/ Down 10:00 [3]

Used the 1km run to the start for my warm up. Slacked off and didn't do a warm down.

Bush Sprint at Bal Bone Junction
Was too focused on trying to run at 'sprint' pace.
Mistakes at:
1- ran to the control on the cliff, even though I knew it was on a boulder
lost: 25 sec
5- hesitant as to what direction I was approaching the termite mound from
lost: 15sec
10- pulled up way too short and ended up bailing out to the track
lost: 60sec

Warm Up/ Down 35:00 [3]

Short warm up before the event and a long warm down, including collecting the controls on the easy and very easy courses.

Felt good in today's set. It seems that the weeks that I do the uni run on a Wednesday before are the weeks I feel best at intervals.

Running (UNSW RunSoc) 37:38 [3] 8.0 km (4:42 / km)

Hard run with the group from uni doing the Centennial Park loop and a little extra around the edge before heading back to uni.
