Moved from Seacomber to Lobethal, staying o/n at Jack Youngs place where my van is. Meant to get in a quick ride but had to spend hour+ on ph to AGL, then totally cleanup and pack. Picked up serviced bike at Woodside, then did a repack etc for trip north.
Met Vinnie at Jacks ..lives at Rathjen Gap, Palmer.

mt bike 1:20:00 [3] 16.0 km (5:00 / km)

Another twilight ride. Did the 3 descents (& ascents) from the fire rd with some degree of aplomb. Last one was a bit problematical darkness wise but I survived. Riding reasonably well.
Another busy day. Took Mark (nephew) to work; cleaned car out; visited Brighton bike shop; went to Hyundai & got them to take out my back seat (no charge), so more room; Bunnings to give more Ewaste & collect colour swatches; & went to my Centrelink appointment.
Got a nice woman who reckoned the system didn't have any reason why they should have sent me a text wanting more verification, but happily noted down my passport & licence details.... Moving day tomo

Sunday Mar 28 #

MTBO 2:46:00 [3] 29.0 km (5:43 / km) +700m 5:06 / km

Mtbo event at Belair.
Tired after yesterday but legs held out ok.
Annoyed that printed at 1:20,000 as hard to read the detail in lower half - did to save costs!
No real planning time ...I made a bizarre choice to get one of the hillier ones first with the idea i could fly down the main rd at the end. Later read on the map that the rd was OOB but wasnt marked as such! Had the right plan to get all the bottom ones first, but got distracted and forgot to get one & had to double back...which cost me a km or so. Passed 2 Emus.
Darn Merchants on their Ebikes passed me up the steepest hill & did the course in half my time. Harrison Waugh took 1.17 & Jack Allison 1.30.
