Orienteering race 31:17 [3] 2.5 km (12:31 / km) +65m 11:04 / km
shoes: Jalas

Holme Fell - Retired with a massive blister on the ball of my foot. I was in agony every time I went down hill.

Orienteering race 1:32:03 [5] 5.2 km (17:42 / km) +310m 13:38 / km
shoes: Jalas

Bigland - Absolutely fantastic area. Small mistake at 3 in all the knolls and 23 too far right (lost about 3 mins) but the killer was 14. I was about the right height but didn't go far enough so ended up dropping back down and relocated not far from 13! When I went back up the hill I ended up in the same place but it didn't seem to fit, then I found a shallow re entrant(not mine) and went further along the slope and fell into my shallow re entrant. The rain started just after 16 and by the end I was soaked!

Orienteering race 52:42 [5] 5.3 km (9:57 / km) +100m 9:05 / km
shoes: Jalas

Allestree - Fantastic evening and the forest areas were really runnable, great event slightly spoilt by the pit that is either not mapped correctly or was positioned wrongly! I found a much bigger pit which I think is the correct one.
Should have been 46 minutes.

Orienteering race 35:00 [3] 4.4 km (7:57 / km)
shoes: Jalas

Bloody awful - nettles 4ft high brambles 5ft high and very thick grot where there was no nettles! I gave up when waist high in brambles looking for a control that was not where it should have been. I tried to tell the main members of the club that they should not put these events on in the summer. There is a case for street o events only from April onwards especially in the Midlands. This event made LEI events look ok!

X Country 29:30 [3] 5.0 km (5:54 / km) +40m 5:40 / km
shoes: Asics

Jog with K around park. Cool wind and damp but we only had to stop three times! (Once to watch the 6 baby cygnets)

Mapping with S for DVO. It was a slow around the trees due to the undergrowth. When does a non distinct tree become a distinct tree in open?
Some are several hundred years old and some are newly planted yet they are all shown with the same green circle - that can't be right.
