Road running long 1:48:56 [2] 11.8 mi (9:14 / mi)
ahr:149 rhr:53 shoes: BA9

Reservoir loop w/ J. Legs lacked snap. I was overdressed. It started out very humid but cool, maybe 65°, but warmed up and dried up as the sun got higher. I wore tights and a wicking LS shirt + a BAA windbreaker, and couldn't get to the right temperature. Took several walking breaks + a pause for water.

We talked of marathon training strategies and racing strategies. J thinks I'm mentally tough enough because of the extreme weather conditions that we've run in as a group: 20° and snowing, windy and wet, bitterly cold and exposed around the Wachusett Reservoir (the Stu's 30K course). Yet I countered that when I get to 22+ in a marathon, I have difficulty bearing down and staying on pace in the face of growing discomfort. J has also never run Baystate in spite of a long marathon resume. This will be the first for both of us.

During the later part of the run, I decided I did not have the energy to drive the 1 3/4 hours each way to Pawtuckaway to orienteer.

Road running 1:00:00 [1] 6.5 mi (9:14 / mi)

From Kimball's Farm to Voyagers in Acton. HRM was stopped by mistake for some period in the middle, time is an estimate. Cool temps, headwind.

Road running 34:00 [2] 4.0 mi (8:30 / mi)
shoes: BA9

No HR data b/c I couldn't find the HRM. Felt like about a 34' effort or faster.

Road running 53:58 [2] 6.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
ahr:142 max:164 shoes: BA8

Salisbury, evening run, done as 2x (start to 1.5M and back). Kind of chilly.

Thinking more about J's math puzzler and involved strategies that Alice might use, thinking about flipping biased coins, but still not getting anywhere.
