Orienteering race 1:41:05 [3] 4.8 mi (21:04 / mi)
ahr:135 max:160 shoes: Falcon

Better day than yesterday, tried to do mostly walking. Even so, got confused a couple of times: on the way to 2, on the way out of 4. Lost contact uphill from 13, but managed to hit it anyway.

The woods were so nice that I decided to ride my MTB to get some pictures of the Lyons Falls.

Mountain biking 28:33 [1] 2.85 mi (10:01 / mi)
ahr:125 max:152

On mostly jeep trails, out to water hole #4 (Lyons Falls) to get some pix, then back to the east side of the map to get a couple of shots of the pinesNE of the big marsh.

Mountain biking 1:19:20 [1] 8.04 mi (9:52 / mi)
ahr:131 max:152

More MTB at Vietnam, Milford, where I once again lost contact on the map, had no energy in my quads for powering up the gnarly short hills, and generally spent about 30+ minutes more than I wanted to. I guess this venue for Advanced MTBing operates by the principle of "Those who know, know. Those who don't, keep out." The trail intersections aren't marked on the maps or blazed consistently, plus my map sucked.

At one point, having ridden off the trails onto paved, I was hoping to find a street whose name was on my map. A woman dressed for soccer asked me if I knew where the Holliston fields were. I'm not from around here, sorry. She's not from around here, either, so neither one of us could help the other.

Orienteering race 1:07:36 [3] **** 2.7 km (25:02 / km)
shoes: Falcon

Blew the 2nd leg with an error almost as long as the fastest winning times. :-(

Orienteering race 1:15:20 [3] **** 3.5 km (21:31 / km)
shoes: Falcon

Afternoon sprint. Even though not moving very fast, I still managed to get disoriented and struggle some.

Road running 20:30 [1] 2.0 mi (10:15 / mi)
shoes: BA14

Drove down to the oldest public park in the US for a couple of easy laps. I paid careful attention to the HR display of my garmin, and when it topped 170 I paused to sanity-check it against my neck. Conclusion: bogus data on the device, and my Rating of Perceived Exertion correlates with my HR.

Then bought some bagels and back home.
