Nice weather (almost fall) for some orienteering. I can't seem to get into this map and I bungled a lot of the controls (1,2,4,5,9). I'd like to go back and run it again for giggles. I think just focusing on having a good picture of the control area would make a big difference.

Wendy and Mori had put the event up on Livelox (not advertised, I guess?) which means it was available to pull on the UsynligO app, so I used that. It worked ok, sometimes chiming way before I was at the streamer and other times not chiming until I was well on my way out of the control. I think O-Range performs better but I couldn't get it to actually find the Livelox event (or any Livelox event, for that matter).

In CMTR Summer Scavenger Hunt progress, I decided to do the Lite Brite Run, which required bright colors and/or lights. I brought some glow bracelets that we had leftover from Lukas' birthday, except that when I went to put one on I realized that I didn't have the little attachments to connect the ends. Time to get creative, which is when I decided that going out in a heavily-trafficked park as the only person with a bright O-suit and dorky headband qualified for this!

With Lukas, from the campground to Duck Pond and back. He was more energetic on the way there than on the way back. We had a good splash in the pond in the middle. It is amazing.

Family bike ride from the Salt Pond parking area to Coast Guard Beach, on the bike path. This was the first time we all rode together on separate bikes!

For some reason I had expected this to be a flat path, even though we had crossed it a couple of times on our earlier walk and it wasn't flat at those points. In any case, it was a fairly tough ride for Lukas who really did great. Looking forward to a lot more family rides!

We're camping at the Wellfleet Hollow Campground on Cape Cod, joined by our friends Leah, Aaron, and their 2.5yo son Ansel. They were the last non-family people Lukas and I visited back in Before Times and it was super fun to share an outdoor home with them this week instead. Not that being crammed into a small Brooklyn apartment wasn't fun (it was!) but we wouldn't have done that now!

I went for an exploratory trail run from the campground with a map that had basic contours and veg + osm trails. It was enjoyable running and I tried to cheer for people I saw in the spirit of the Cheerleader badge, but I have a hard time doing that in coronavirus times, so mostly I just made more of an effort to be friendly. Didn't see too many people but at least there were some friendly words exchanged.

Would have been much easier with Lukas, who offers friendly conversation with basically every person he encounters.

I'm going through another bout of whatever it is that happens to me when I get terrible sleep (?) or whatever it is. Nauseated, a bit of vertigo, headaches. Scratched the planned long run yesterday and tried to get to sleep early last night. Decent night of sleep but I still wasn't back to normal this morning. Not sure what it is.
