First session back where I felt I didn't fall to peices in the second half of the session. Wind was pretty strong tonight so considering that I was pretty happy with the times on the longer reps, felt a distinct lack of speed on the shorter ones though.

Rain had moved in by this evening making it pretty humid. Planned a run from the hotel down the banks of the Weir with an out and back tempo effort. Expected a reasonable path, I got one in the end but took 2km of pretty overgrown woodland trails, luckily minimal nettles.

2km WU then a 5km OaB. Felt decent but pace seamed pretty low for effort though the trails were pretty twisty and undulating. Back in the overgrown woodlands right at the end, tripped on a tree root and made a good mess of my hand when I reached out to try and stop myself falling.

Back to the normal Wednesday route but backwards. Warmest June day on record and it was noticeable (~33-34 deg in nott'm). Was ok the first 20mins but clouded over, some heavy spots of rain with thunder and lightening nearby. This made the humidity close to unbearable.

Showered back at work but the shower does not go colder than luke warm. This didn't cool my body temperature enough so spend the next 30mins saturating my work gear with sweat, slightly embarrassing but made good humour of it; luckily I did have spares in my locker for when I did stop sweating.
