Running long 1:12:00 [3] 12.0 km (6:00 / km) +200m 5:32 / km
ahr:149 max:175 shoes: Asics

Had entered the Bomber Long O but woke up tired and dehydrated and didn't really have the time so went for an early evening run instead. Had to stop for a couple of minutes about half way around to stretch out my calves as they were really tight. Probably from being on my feet for so long yesterday and redecorating the bedroom.

Note

Was at Nott'm uni doing the final checks of the map, layout and controls sites today which took 7 hours. With decorating at home also there was no time for any training unforntuantely.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [1] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Asics

Warm up prior to Booths Road Race. The normal stuff. Didn't get chance for a warm down so only had a little jog back down my road. Not good.

Running race 27:11 [5] 7.4 km (3:40 / km) +60m 3:32 / km

Booths Summer Road Race

Nice evening but this was bloody hard work. Legs felt heavy from the start so had to put in a lot of effort to keep moving. One beast of a hill up a grassy slope about 2/3 of the way around each lap.

Route: 2 laps of this http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2750818

Crap run, at least 40s behind what I would expect to do but not suprising after the recent races. Need to get some good rest and then get training hard again.

Note
(rest day)

Another bit of a rest day today. Woke up and my legs, back and shoulders are as stiff as anything. Really do need to make sure I warm down; I didn't again yesterday!
