Running warm up/down 25:00 [1]

Warm up and some jog down in a wonderfully scenic sunny and warm Vancouver day. Felt surprisingly unsore.

Orienteering race 16:00 [4]

Race, Cleveland Dam. Really good. Pushed as hard as I could all the way. Went on wrong side of the hill to 9th; +5 sec. Was really concentrated and ran smoothly all the way.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [1]

Warm up with lots of clothes. Tried not to think about my very fast chaser, but instead prepare myself to orienteer safe and good.

Running 17:00 [4]

Chase start, Princess Park. Started out a little bit unsmooth, but no big mistakes. Then came into the flow and pushed as hard as I could. Another good race :-) Then the day went on and became a great birthday party. Wonderful people, thank you everybody! I might take an easy day Monday.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1]

Run to the start of the Otervals.

Orienteering intervals 20:00 [4]

Otervals with crème de la crème of North American orienteering. In Downtown Vancouver, Financial District. With snow covered mountains making a perfect frame. Ran like a madman, but all the others did as well. Had an intense fight with Mr. Nipen for the victory in the final interval, and lost it...

(times are ish, due to lack of watch)

Running warm up/down 20:00 [1]

Running back to the start and some jogging between the intervals.

Running warm up/down 5:00 [1]

Some sort of activity to stay warm till the next race.

Orienteering race 14:00 [4]

Sprint race in Lost Lagoon, with a box. Mass start, got that taste of blood in my mouth right from the start, as a tried not to let Mr. Pither go. He still got 25 seconds on me at the last control, and then outran me completely to the finish. I have to start making better route choices. But it still was quite a good race, and wonderful training!

Orienteering race 10:00 [4]

Start training, 3rd high intensity training before lunch. Ran with some fast guys, and tried not to slow them down.

Pretty amazing training. 11 business card sized maps, with a start and a first control, stapled together. Then start at the top and work your way through. Still in Downtown.

Running warm up/down 5:00 [1]

Jogging kind of thing.

Running warm up/down 25:00 [1]

Quite a long warm up near Granville Island. Kind of sore kind of thing, but not like it hurts or anything.

Orienteering race 15:00 [4]

Sprint race, individual start. Started of great, good flow and pace. Then made a 1.10 minutes mistake on the 10th control, which is kind of embarassing. Finished with style anyway. Patrick made his 4th victory of the weekend. I am impressed.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1]

Running back to the parking lot.

Orienteering long 25:00 [2]

Dog bone. A little bit tired now, but fought hard and managed to keep Carol behind.

Drill tempo 1 [0]

Beer. Stout.

Orienteering long 30:00 [1]

Scattering some controls around on Campus. Morning glory.

Running warm up/down 35:00 [1]

Orienteering race 14:00 [4]

Sprint Race at the UBC, start 5 meters from my door. Kind of sore, but did a good race at decent pace. Cool to meet so many orienteers!
