Practice, at Ft Washington (streamers only...thanks, Wyatt!), upper 50s and sunny. Green course.

Had trouble right off the bat when I couldn't find a streamer at the depression near start (#1 on Green; last control on Red). I did locate the depression, and continued on to #2. Later on Glen said the streamer was under water (1" of rain yesterday).

Messed up the leg to 4 thinking the busy road I was hearing was the E-W one at the edge of the map, but it was the angled one. I got too far left, but corrected when I got near the road and realized which one it was. Not enough attention to compass, which I would pay for later, too.

Didn't see the streamer at #6. There was a man standing at the a trail junction nearby and I didn't want to go bashing off into the woods, so I just waved and continued toward #7. On the trail run there, passed a couple headed the other way who saw the map and said, "DVOA?" I smiled and nodded. They said they were members. (I didn't recognize them.)

Couldn't find the streamer at #8 either, though I checked a number of thickets in the area.

Between 8 and 9 I stayed in the woods and bothered two groupings of deer...probably 20 in total!! 10 and 11 okay. Never saw the streamer at #9 but think I was pretty close.

Never found #12 because I was looking in a totally wrong area (again, compass checking would have helped, and realizing I didn't have so many contours to climb). Saw a few more deer on the hill here. Finally figured out I was near the cul de sac of the hilltop parking area, and declined to go find 12 in the green of the disc golf course anyway. Relocated, then made my way to 13 from above, and 14 near the trail along the railroad.

Followed the trail around the spur from 14, and attempted to get to the control via the stream trail, but a VERY LARGE tree trunk blocked my way...no way I could get over it, so I climbed up to the main trail. I could see the streamer at #15 from the trail but getting to it would mean climbing over downfall, so I just waved again. Than I was done.
