orienteering (Tower Hill) 46:45 [3] 4.9 km (9:32 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc spikes

Starting from close to the 2018 Aust Long arena (yes, Simon did mention something about weddings...) we had a few uphill legs to the ridgeline and then 3 butterfly loops on top of Tower Hill, finishing next to the weather station. Good course from Evalin and it was a gloriously sunny day with amazing views from the top and I didn't get any phone calls about double-bookings with weddings :)
11 AM

orienteering warm up/down 23:34 [3]
shoes: Inov8 Oroc spikes

Collecting tapes and descending from the ridgeline.
12 PM

orienteering (Rocky Paddock) 35:41 [3] 3.4 km (10:30 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc spikes

Evalin had given me a map from the training a couple of weeks ago so I went around the 3km course (and found a couple of leftover tapes). The campground was absolutely chockers, fullest I've ever seen it - and it's a non-holiday weekend in the middle of winter!

running (Belair night) 53:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Nimbus 21

Squelchy redwoods return with Zara - good thing her headlamp was fully charged, because mine was nearly the opposite.

running 30:35 [3]
shoes: Asics Kayano 24

Short one to get some fresh air in an attempt to ensure that I wasn't too grumpy for OA Board meeting - I'm a bit over having so many online meetings these days.

running intervals (North Adelaide) 20:00 [4]
shoes: Asics Nimbus 21

4 x 5 min along the river, with 90 sec recovery in between. I doubt I would even have made it 1km in any of these - certainly the others just kept getting further ahead - but I think they were reasonably consistent?

running warm up/down (North Adelaide) 35:30 [3]
shoes: Asics Nimbus 21

Mizzle made running conditions quite pleasant.

running long (Belair triangle) 1:47:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Nimbus 21

It's a bit further to Belair than it used to be from our old place...across Colonel Light Gardens to the bottom of Randell's Reserve, up to Burnell Drive via some new/modified singletracks with lovely switchbacks (the turnstile at the top has been removed, since MTBs are now allowed all through the reserve) down Gloucester/Caroline Ave and through Sleeps Hill quarries with great views, past Perry Ave house and home via streets where I used to walk the dog in his younger days. I used to be better at going up the hill in my younger days - but this run was mostly ok except that knees didn't like the steep descent.
