the overnight was pretty horrific. felt awful just as i had finished so was hopeless trying to help jonny get the tent up but he got it sorted. had a couple of naps and went to bed before 8 because i was too cold. pretty rough night, so uncomfortable and because i had my bag in with me i hadnt got enough room to lie down straight and there was a couple of lumps. got so cold in the early morning. jonny took all the team kit which made my back an awful lot lighter because of all the food wed eaten. started of well and were keeping up with the elites. really low fog and it got really wet cold and miserable a couple of hours in. was hating it for an hour or so when we were right on the tops but as soon as we dropped down for the last few controls it was warmish again. jonny was on a mission for the last 3k down hill and thought he was going to drop me as my quads were dead but managed to get him on the run in ;)

First mountain marathon! c class with malley.
we went out pretty fast and i thought i was going to be dropped on the first hill. saw treb and willie just before control 3 but did a different route through the score section. there was some pretty steep hills in this part and i went through a pretty big low so jonny carried my bag up a couple of hills. recovered as we crossed the road and was going well. jonny spotted treb and willie 5 minutes ahead so we had caught up about 15 minutes. pushed hard through the final couple of controls. really enjoyed the most of it, apart from the low i had where i wondered why i was there

slow run because of the omm this weekend.
was having one of those days where you just cant run. not too bad though because i didnt want to push it but bit gutting. though last time this happened i was on fire the next day
