There were a lot of people elbowing and shoving me at the start, especially as they all stopped and walked when the path got narrow. There was a couple of professional looking women but I refused to let them beat me. The sneaky women on the other hand had other ideas. They attacked on after the other so when I chased one down the other one went. I felt like cadel Evans chasing down the schlek brothers. I started feeling ill on the down hills so loads of people went passed me and I was going slow :( almost started walking at one point. Was the first (probably only) junior so I won a box of fruit and vegetables. Just my luck.

was almost getting lapped by the people I normally lead :| and was about 110% of what I should be

Brad noticed I had "beefed up" since I was last there which was a nice complement but not really helpful for running, especially as it is not a contact sport :( really need to stop hitting the gym so often and stop doing pointless upper body exercises. But now I'm training again I won't need too to fill my time.

and I've just been asked to write a letter to the FRA asking for them to let me run the senior national relays this year. why am i doing this to myself?

i WILL get back to an acceptable fitness though :)

first training run in two months :O
theres nothing that clears your like getting up early to go for a run after a weekend of ntt "banter".
i was feeling good for the first half kilometre, then the weekend caught up with me and i felt awful. only 10% slower than i was two months ago which was a bit of a surprise and my shin felt reem. shame my asthma didnt.
