Off-road running warm up/down 12:00 [1] 1.0 km (12:00 / km) +30m 10:26 / km

Easy up to the start with a few stretches...

Orienteering race 46:50 [4] **** 3.7 km (12:39 / km) +220m 9:45 / km
spiked:13/17c shoes: VJ Supra

Lakes Day 5 - Dale Park: out early (10.44) and the course/terrain demanded close navigation. Made a few slips and minor errors. Caught my 2 min man at 6 and we traded controls, even where we took very different routes and kept on meeting up. Generally pleasing but truly knackered by now.

Been pleasing getting back into the Oing this week. Infection clearly impacted on my ability to run and struggled running smoothly. However, got through it without major harm to hammy.

Easy up to start....

Orienteering race 1:05:51 [4] *** 9.1 km (7:14 / km) +155m 6:40 / km
spiked:20/21c shoes: Integrator 4

Day 4 - Askham Fell: woke with more gunk and feeling rougher but got over to Askham and felt improved; a pleasing run - enjoyed the terrain (fastest split to 1st control) apart from the tussocks. Took path/road route to 5 but tried to go direct to 9 (other long leg). Lost time on both and certainly found it harder in the second half as weakened.

Loop from Blawith Common up to Beacon Tarn including a 'narrow path with encroaching gorse' which wasn't a lie!

Orienteering race 1:25:12 [4] **** 6.9 km (12:21 / km) +340m 9:54 / km

Day 1 of Lakes 5-day on Silver Howe: in atrocious conditions and struggled with chest and sinuses. Hard going (nothing in legs) with lots of water over the area due to incessant rain. Accurate until 7 when made mistake there and at 9 and 10, costing 6.5 mins. Pleased to get round but rightly decided to give rest of week a miss, perhaps doing Day 5 as well.

After a long drive up, took cocoa up onto Hampsfell for her evening stroll and a nice leg-loosener for me too.
