Orienteering race 1:13:00 [3] 7.1 km (10:17 / km)

BSK by night 3, Klemma.

A new map and area - and a very good one. The small village of Fjell is turning into quite a mecca... Quite a disappointing course with the long leg heading straight to a huge powerline and a few bingo controls on unfinished bits of map. Ran ok given my current fitness slightly spoilt by struggling to find the last control.

Route choice on puttåsen w Neil. I tried straight is great which worked ok on the legs with the grain but cost dearly on a couple of the longer legs - some bad execution as well did not help.

Actually, neither of us wanted to run the road route which would have made my losses worse...

Club champs. A pretty clean race but struggling physically - if I had some shape I would have stood a chance but not today...

BSK by night, race 2. A pretty tough course in Lillomarka. A lot of errors in the first half - crossed a big path to 1 without seeing it, misread a line of crags as a path into 3 and then poor leaving the next 3 controls...then a control error. Focussed a bit better after that and no more big errors.

Not my best ever performance, need better discipline!

BSK by night, race 1.

Mass-start with limited forking. Tried to run own race which worked quite well with the headless chickens at the forked first control, then some big pack error at the 3rd after which I got to run quite alone - with the exception of a club mate who succeeded in running past me on half of the legs (ok, 6 of 14), followed by me seeing him miss shortly afterwards. Form not top but orienteering ok
