Set off to jog to the station, ended up running to work.

Orienteering race 1:38:00 [3]

Woc selection race long. Started badly by running out of time at start. Lost control quickly on way to 1 and line a bit left so bad. Then got to first control area and found one on a boulder right next to the knoll I wanted... Eventually realised my description was the wrong course. Double checked the map was right. oops. Small miss at 2 oversimplifying, 3, 4 ok. Then a big parallel error to 5. Felt something not quite right but hoped a bit much. Energy started to drain faster and a long way to go. Another miss at 7 then lots of runners passing as I struggled around. Ended up as a slow jog by the end with pauses.

A lot to work on. Not the plan to lose control so early. Must have better start routine all the way. Restarting not great either. Hard to tell how things would have gone with those elements better but probably missing the endurance as well.
