Orienteering Race 1:11:55 [3]
Orienteering at Camp Fortune. I only did the Short Advanced because I took Sarah and her 3 kids out for a whirl around the Novice first. They mega loved it and hopefully will be back. All of them picked things up really well, Fortune was a good place to start and they can run!
Number 10 was near the top of the northern hill on the Fortune Map and I find that I can't get anything to make sense up there, not sure why. Everytime I've been up there it has been rough on me.
Some of the woods were wicked for visibility, but lots of lots of trees. I always think back to running M12 and M14 on this map when I was "sappling height".
About 2/3s of the way along Sophia was going to bail so got her to run with me and went into cruise mode.
Staying up to dawn watching rockabily and burlesque is not idea for Sunday Orienteering. Entertaining, yes, but many was I zonked in the morning.
